Hey guys!
Just to start off, I seriously feel amazing - STUPENDOUS! I am so, so proud of myself for what I have been able to accomplish these past few days. Although to others and from a perspective set at a further distance, these successes may seem minute or trivial, I truly feel so proud that I have been able to maintain my calorie restrictions for these 5 or 6 days. As numerical “proof” (kind of), I have “lost” 4 pounds on that yucky scale! (which is, funnily enough, looking a lot less yucky now ;)) I just feel so great, inside and out. I feel a lot more confident and beautiful getting ready to go out now, and just - sigh. Just great. I know one should always feel confident and beautiful, and I do/did… but the feelings are just increased that much more when you can see the fruits of your labour. I feel fan-freaking-tastic.
Thank you guys for watching, and I will keep you posted on this fresh, invigorating start :)

To my best friend’s beloved Cedar: You were loved so much, and will continue to be loved even if you are not here physically anymore. The potted tulips I gave your mommy are a symbol of your everlasting presence in the people who loved you. Bouquets fade, but there is life in these thriving flowers. May you rest in peace.
